So, What Are People Wearing During NYFW?
I just got back from NYFW and one thing New Yorkers never do - is disappoint when it comes to personality dressing. Here's a roundup of what everyone's wearing around the city in the midsts of winter!
Walking around New York during Fashion Week is such a fun exercise in people-watching. There are those who embrace a costume-like aesthetic and those who bring the latest runway trends straight to the streets—or is it vice versa? All it takes to get inspired is a stroll through SoHo—it’s truly a feast to the eyes. Most of my street fashion discoveries happen by chance. This is exactly what happened when I ran into Pia on Mercer Street, sporting a chic all-black look with a pop of burgundy. I love the perfectly elegant look, bringing hints from past decades—the cinched waist and hat, I love the return and evolution of style, 2025 is so good at that.
Remember when I talked about brooches? I’ve been seeing so many brooches roaming around the streets of New York - both in shows & presentation and in street fashion of course. I think it adds so much personality to the outfit and makes it pop in such a fabulous way. It also comes in super handy in keeping wrap scarves in place - which are super in right now! I spotted Jordan Goldberg, an editor at Editorialist magazine along with her 2 co-workers while taking pictures for their magazine wearing this perfect look. I think it’s so simple yet sophisticated, shows that you truly need a few good pieces to work with in your wardrobe.
Her friend, Danielle Naer, was wearing the most recent Bottega Veneta bag. I love spotting something so beautiful so fresh out of the shelf! I feel like winter fashion used to be about having 1 or 2 big coats that would keep you warm with something you just threw on underneath. What I truly love about 2025 fashion is that there is so much creativity and new styles that come out every day, especially when it comes to warm dressing and winter fashion. I loved Danielle’s coat - it’s so novel and sophisticated—the scarf attachments in coats these days are adding so much personality & movement!
Speaking of gorgeous coats - I probably could never, ever get enough of Michal Kurtis’s personal style. She has one of those wardrobes a girl could dream of, and if you wanna know and see more of it we did a whole Wardrobe Stories video together! I dove into her wardrobe in the Fall and she took me through her collection—I left speechless and inspired!

During NYFW I worked with NET-A-PORTER on a super fun project where we went around the city, hopping from show to show scouting for the best show-goers style. And boy did we find it! We spotted Abi Hoffman, one of my favorite fashion icons in a full Alaïa look head to toe! Such a sophisticated look - in her own words, visually interesting!
I’ve been a fan of The Millennial Decorator for so so long—and we finally met each other in person! She is a fresh breeze of vintage air, and just so fabulous and elegant. Her look is definitely one of my top favorites from the ones I’ve seen around the city!
I met the bubbly and charming Abisola as a part of my NET-A-PORTER project. I love how well she styles this look—adding such incredibly interesting elements together in a way that isn’t clashing.
One of my favorite people to always run into is Tamara. We first met in Milan when I came up to her and told her how much I loved her look (and her content)—and continued seeing each other across Paris & New York fashion weeks! Besides the fact that I absolutely adore her style, she is the sweetest and absolute kindest soul!! I spotted her in SoHo wearing a beautiful brown look, that has such perfect movement.
Here are some moments that I loved!
And here’s a bit of what I wore!
Hope you enjoyed this point of view of fashion week,
Xoxo,
Linoya
Love all of these and I always get excited when one of your videos pops up in my Instagram feed 💗
